To-ji Temple (Kyoto)

#mytraveldiary

To-ji Temple’s five-story pagoda is the tallest wooden tower in Japan, and it instantly caught my eye as I approached. The temple grounds were spacious, with old trees and tranquil gardens creating a serene setting. Inside, I admired impressive Buddhist statues, each radiating spiritual energy. I learned that To-ji was closely tied to the famous monk Kobo Daishi, adding historical depth to the visit. On the day I went, a flea market was being held outside, full of antiques, food, and crafts. It was the perfect blend of tradition and everyday life. #mytraveldiary
