1️⃣ Kyoto Umekoji Park
• A spacious urban park near Kyoto Station.

• Popular with families, as it's home to the Kyoto Railway Museum and Kyoto Aquarium.
📍 Location: About a 15-minute walk from Kyoto Station.

2️⃣ Lake Biwa (琵琶湖, Lake Biwa)
• Japan's largest lake, located in Shiga Prefecture.
• From Kyoto Station, take the JR to Otsu Station for about 10 minutes → Walk or take a bus to the lakeside.

📍 Things to Do
• Lake Biwa Cruise: Take a cruise for panoramic views of the lake and mountains.
• Miho Museum: A landmark of architectural beauty amidst nature (designed by I.M. Pei, designer of the Louvre Pyramid).
• Cafes near Otsu Port: Enjoy coffee or dessert with a lakeside view.
