I really love Arashiyama, especially the wooden Togetsukyo Bridge, which is over 400 years old.
Togetsukyo Bridge is a must-see landmark in Arashiyama. It offers stunning views of the natural surroundings, with a backdrop of lush green mountains and a river below. The riverside is lined with shops and food vendors.
We visited in the evening, and the weather was cool and breezy. When we reached the middle of the bridge and looked around, the composition was so harmonious and beautiful, we immediately fell in love with it. Looking down into the river, we could see rocks and fish, perhaps because the water level was low.
I regret visiting in the evening, as we didn't get to enjoy the view for long before it got dark and we had to return to Osaka. I'm sure I'll return to Arashiyama next time, and I'd love to see the autumn leaves there.
