[Kyoto Cafe] Let's go on a picnic at Kamogawa! Wife & Husband☕

One of the most anticipated things about a trip to Kyoto is a picnic by the Kamogawa River! 💗🥳🥳! Tucked away in a hidden alley just west of the bridge near Kitaoji Station, this is Kyoto's hottest cafe! They offer picnic rentals, allowing you to bring a full pot of coffee, cups, tablecloth, and a picnic basket filled with snacks for a picnic just 100 meters away along the Kamogawa River. They also offer additional rentals for straw mats, hats, folding tables, benches, and even umbrellas, allowing you to enjoy a picnic without bringing any gear. The picnic includes: a cute wicker basket, a thermos of coffee (optional), a white napkin, a cup, a stirrer, sugar, milk balls, and two RUSKs (which are really crispy cookies).

The picnic rental period ends at 3:00 PM. We arrived at the cafe around 3:30 PM, but it was past the last order. The staff said we could still rent the picnic. 😭 They were angels. 🥰🥳🥳🥳 You can choose hot or cold coffee, and the meal is ready in no time. They then ask for some information and give us a return deadline. We also rented a bench and a folding table. 💛 Afterwards, we took tons of photos at Kamogawa River... It was so beautiful! Watching people strolling, cycling, walking their dogs, and picnicking along the Kamogawa River, with birds flying freely in the sky, it was like a quiet escape from the stress and bustle of city life. It's a perfect place to unwind. I highly recommend it!
