A must-try when visiting Kyoto is the Arashiyama Train, also known as the Sagano Sightseeing Train. This scenic railway runs along the Hozugawa River valley, departing from Saga Station, next to JR SagaArashiyama Station. Along the way, you'll enjoy breathtaking mountain and water views and the changing beauty of the seasons. This train features nostalgic carriages, artistic Art Deco styling, and the "Fuki" open-air carriages, offering a unique and unconventional experience. The train itself is a converted old freight car, and the interior, featuring wooden seats and exposed light bulbs, exudes a retro, nostalgic atmosphere. I really like it.
