The "Ishibei Koji" in Kyoto's Gion feels solemn and mysterious

The whole Gion is filled with noisy tourists, but there is one Ishibei Koji that is very quiet, inhabited entirely by local residents. They probably dislike tourists taking photos so much that they specifically posted signs prohibiting photography. The photos I took are all from some alleys outside. In the house of the family in the first picture, I felt the so-called atmosphere. This aesthetic is truly solemn and mysterious.
