[Kyoto] World Heritage Site of Magnificent Architecture

Visited in August 2022
Former Imperial Palace Nijo Castle

Nijo Castle, which became the base of Kyoto for the Tokugawa Shogunate, was built by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1605 as a lodging house in Kyoto.

In addition to being the meeting place between Ieyasu and Toyotomi Hideyori, it is also famous for being the place where the 15th Shogun Yoshinobu returned power to the Emperor in 1867 at the end of the Edo period✨

The gorgeous Ninomaru Palace, designated as a national treasure, is worth seeing‼️

It was raining that day, but the gardens are beautiful, so there are plenty of things to see🎵
