Fushimi Inari Taisha Shrine was built in 711 AD and has a history of over 1,300 years. It is one of the must-see attractions when traveling to Kyoto.
Fushimi Inari Taisha is the headquarters of 30,000 Inari shrines in Japan. It enshrines the Inari gods who are in charge of grains and food. Prayers pray for a good harvest, a prosperous business, and a safe family! The fox is the messenger, so you will see fox statues!
Of course, the most attractive thing for tourists is the "Thousand Torii Gates". Nearly 10,000 vermilion torii gates are arranged in an orderly and continuous manner in the mountains, creating a unique beauty of Fushimi Inari Taisha!
Tip: Come before 8 am or go later, the fewer people there are and it’s easier to take a nice solo photo!
