I didn’t do any planning before setting off for this 8-day, 7-night trip to Kyushu, but I am very satisfied with the itinerary! So I want to share it with you too🥰
🌟【8 days and 7 nights in Kyushu】🌟:
1: Arrive in Fukuoka - Ohori Park - Fukuoka Museum of Art
2: Yufuin (Same-day trip)
3. Fukuoka - Kagoshima - Senganen
4. Sakurajima - Shiroyama Observatory
5: Kagoshima - Fukuoka - Shiga Island
6: Mojiko Port (Same-day trip)
7: Kamishiki Kumanoza Shrine - Aso Volcano - Kusasenri - Kurokawa Onsen (I researched the transportation and found it a bit troublesome so I signed up for a one-day tour)
8: Return
💰【Overall cost reference】💰:
✈️Hong Kong to Fukuoka round-trip air ticket: 1278 (transit in Shanghai)
🏠Accommodation: Average price: 296 per night (can be cheaper, I booked too late and there were few options)
🍱Three meals: around 1400 (including daily coffee)
🚆JR Kyushu 5-day PASS: 1125 (If you plan to go to Kagoko, just buy the Kyushu Pass)
🚌Other transportation: 330 (subway, bus, bicycle rental, ferry)
💳Tickets: 135
🌋Aso one-day tour: 490
The cost of the whole trip is about 7,000.
If you have more time, I recommend going there.
Nagasaki, Saga, Beppu, Miyazaki, Ibusuki, Kagoshima...
🌟【Attractions Recommendation】🌟:
📍Yufuin: In addition to the Yunotsubo Street, Fairy Tale Village and Kinlin Lake that everyone will definitely check in, I highly recommend that you experience this idyllic town under the volcano by cycling🚲🚲 Bicycles can be rented from the visitor center on the right turn of the JR station for 300 yen per hour. The COMICO ART MUSEUM with its beautiful architectural design is also worth a visit👍🏻
📍Shiga Island: I decided to go there because I saw that I could cycle around the island. There was a bicycle rental shop at the pier, and then I rode along the road along the sea. The cycling route is about 12 kilometers and the road is flat, so it is suitable even for beginners👍🏻
📍Moji Port: A port city full of retro European style. Take a stroll through it to feel the glorious days of the old days. You must also go to Shimonoseki, which is separated by a strait, to buy sushi and eat it by the sea before 3 o'clock (only on Fridays, Saturdays and Sundays)🍣🍣
📍Sakurajima: Watch the active volcano up close🌋🌋You can also soak in the outdoor foot bath for free and walk along the seaside trail. If you are going to Sakurajima, it is recommended to buy the 🌟CUTE transportation ticket🌟, which allows unlimited rides on city buses, trams, Sakurajima ferries and sightseeing buses
📍Kamiishiki Kumanoza Shrine: I have always wanted to visit Kamishiki Kumanoza Shrine because of the movie "Firefly Forest". The shrine hidden in the green shade seems to have a mysterious and deep charm. It's like walking into the mountain god forest where monsters live.
