A section of the cliff has different colors of rock layers. There are traces of rocks from 2 eras: Cambrian red sandstone (approximately 541-485 million years old) and Ordovician limestone (approximately 485-444 million years old) which are more than 400 years apart. The traces of rocks from both eras are caused by the faults of the earth's crust that are clear and hard to see. It is as if you can step across time from the Cambrian to the Ordovician era just by stepping through, which is the origin of the name. Time Bridge or Time Zone
