Dongshan Park, located in Dongwenshan, east of Wenshan County, is a recently developed tourist attraction centered around Wenbi Pagoda. It faces Xihua Park to the west. Surrounding it are Luohanshan Forest Park, Toutangba Park, and Panlong Park at the foot of the mountain. The Wenbi Pagoda hiking trail is 457 meters long, with 999 marble steps 18 meters wide, arranged in a zigzag pattern.
Wenbi Pagoda is located in Dongshan Park on Dongwen Mountain, east of Wenshan County, Yunnan Province. Originally built during the reign of Emperor Kangxi, it was known as the Gongyi Academy. It was once known as the "Autumn Wind over the Wild Goose Pagoda," a unique sight in Wenshan and one of the Eight Scenic Spots of Wenshan. The name Wenbi Pagoda originates from the fact that the intersection of Dongshan's main peak and the flanking mountains forms the left and right strokes of the Chinese character "文" (wen). The peak represents the horizontal stroke, and the pagoda is the dot on that horizontal stroke. From a distance, the pagoda resembles a giant character.
The mid-subtropical monsoon climate; the stone steps, pavilions, and landscaping in Dongshan Park are showing their charm, releasing a strong historical and cultural atmosphere of the "hometown of calligraphy and painting", making it suitable for travel in all seasons.
