Langkawi Island - Malaysia

Langkawi is a picturesque island located off the coast of Penang in Malaysia and is a great place to have a great holiday. The island is famous for its beautiful beaches, duty-free shops and the cable car.

Most places for swimming and water activities have excellent infrastructure - a lot of restaurants and shops. But the capital of the island of Langkawi - Kuah - cannot boast of a good beach - the nearest one is at least 15 km away. The most popular beaches are Cenang Beach, Kok Beach and Tengah Beach.

Here is my top places I recommend visiting if you are in Langkawi: Langkawi Skybridge and Cable car; Cenang Beach; Tanjung Rhu Beach; Tengah Beach; Durian Waterfall; Telaga Tujuh Waterfalls; take a boat tour to Palau Payar Marine Park, Beras Basah and Dayang Bunting Islands; Kilim Geoforest Park.
