Posh and luxurious located at the island’s northern front overlooking the Andaman sea and Thailand, this resort exemplifies the best of Malaysian hospitality with its top notch service and location. There are free nature walks to participate in daily, do sign up in advance. We spotted colugos when we were there! Guests could also borrow snorkel, stand up paddle or kayak for free to have fun in their rather calm Datai bay, exclusive to in house guests only. There is also a gym, 2 pools, spa available. Excursions can be arranged with the concierge, additional charge applies. Breakfast is served in buffet style which leans more towards healthy & organic local food, notwithstanding that pastries are equivalently good! By the beach, guests can take in the views of the dreamy bay while being pampered by their staff serving you fruit skewers, bringing ice cold water and even ice cream!

Highlights
Huge room with nice balcony and bathtub, jungle villa & beach villa would be even better as they are more spacious and comes with private pool though much more expensive! All drinks in the minibar are free. Excellent breakfast spread. Knowledgeable naturalist. Nice touch of welcome drink (alcoholic), and free flow Prosecco served during breakfast. Thai restaurant serves good food albeit pricey, as expected from a five star resort.
