Located in front of Kuah Town Harbour, the heart of Langkawi Island, Eagle Square is a landmark featuring a giant eagle statue, the island's symbol.
Since the name Langkawi means "red eagle" in Malay,
this sculpture has become the island's symbol.
There's no admission fee, and it's open 24 hours a day,
allowing you to capture photos with the blue sky and sea as a backdrop during the day,
and the illuminated lights at night, creating a different atmosphere.
Nearby are cafes, souvenir shops, and a marina,
making it a popular destination for tourists on the first or last day of their trip.
The sculpture is much larger than you might expect,
and the sea and yacht marina behind it make for a perfect photo opportunity.
We recommend taking a commemorative photo at Eagle Square to conclude or begin your Langkawi trip.
