PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort opened in February 2023 and is located right on Pantai Tengah Beach, Langkawi.  The property has ~308 rooms, suites and villas, including 7 exclusive villas that have private plunge pools and direct beach access.  The interior/exterior design draws inspiration locally—from Langkawi’s icon, the eagle—and aims for a relaxed luxury look using natural, earthy tones and modern furnishings. 

Why It’s Worth Visiting
What makes PARKROYAL special is the breadth of what’s on offer:
• Facilities: Two standout pools (a large beachfront / ground-floor main pool plus an adults-only “Sky Pool” on Level 5 with infinity-edge views over the Straits of Malacca). 
• Dining: There are several good dining choices: CASSIA (all-day), Lancava (specialty / fine dining), Ocean View Lounge, plus a swim-up bar. 
• Family & Kids: Jungle Camp (kids’ club), kid-friendly programming, and villas with more room / separate zones make it suitable for families. 
• Wellness & Fitness: SUASANA Spa, a 24-hour fitness centre (Life Fitness), beach access, and quiet lounge areas. 
• Location & Views: Pantai Tengah gives a more relaxed vibe than Pantai Cenang, yet still near many local attractions, shops, and eateries. Rooms/villas have ocean views, and many balconies or outdoor spaces. The villas with private plunge pools and direct beach access are a bonus. 

My Impression
Staying at PARKROYAL Langkawi Resort feels like the sweet spot between beach holiday comfort and upscale touches. Waking up to sea or sunset views, lounging by the infinity Sky Pool, slipping into the villas’ plunge pools—all those little moments add up. What I liked most was its design that respects the surroundings (eagles, earth tones, greenery), plus the way it separates spaces so families, couples, and solo travellers can each find their zone of calm or fun. If I had to pick three words: elegant, breezy, memorable.
