Recently, the first episode of CCTV1's "China in the Villages" visited Zhuge Village in Lanxi, Zhejiang β the largest settlement of Zhuge Liang's descendants in the country. Surrounded by eight mountains, the village's alleys form a maze, with over 200 Ming and Qing dynasty ancient buildings hidden within. Zhuge Village is laid out according to the Nine Palaces and Eight Trigrams pattern, encircled by mountains on all sides with a low-lying center resembling a treasure bowl. Centered around Zhongchi Pond, eight small alleys form the inner Eight Trigrams, while the eight surrounding mountains form the outer Eight Trigrams, making it a marvel of ancient architecture. Visitors can stroll along the bluestone paths, experience the rustic tranquility, watch fortune-telling, painting, and calligraphy scenes, and purchase small items like the Zhuge repeating crossbow. Key attractions such as Zhongchi Pond, the Prime Minister's Ancestral Hall, and the Grand Hall are well worth a visit. Come check in and experience the unique charm of this top-ranked ancient village in China!
