Take the Green Island Star ferry from Taitung Fugang Fishing Harbor to Lanyu. After arriving at the port, rent a scooter and start your journey around the island to admire its unique rock formations.

Nature has used tools like wind and seawater to sculpt the island's hard rocks into freeform shapes, turning Lanyu into an outdoor gallery of large-scale stone sculptures.

Most of these rocks face the coastal road and turn their backs to the Pacific Ocean. They were formed by cooled lava from volcanic eruptions and have been given fitting names based on their appearance or imagination, such as Twin Lion Rock, Jade Maiden Rock, and Battleship Rock. This is how I spent my vacation—relaxing, gazing at the ocean, and marveling at the rocks!
