Passing through the entrance of the park, you can see a palace and temple that resemble an inn.
To the east of the palace, there is a small flower fence with a vase-shaped gate. On the plaque of this gate, three characters are written in light gray clerical script—“Guoyuequan” which stand out prominently. This spring is completely different from other springs. It is more akin to a well rather than a spring. The spring water gathers in a deep hole resembling a well, about 1.6 meters deep. Every month at night, the moonlight shines in the center of the spring water, creating an image as if holding the moon in one's hand, hence the elegant name “Guoyue,” meaning “National Moon.” This place is also where three mountain paths from the west, center, and east converge.
