Visiting the Forbidden City in Beijing is absolutely worth it. Walking through its vast courtyards and intricate palaces feels like stepping back in time, offering a glimpse into centuries of Chinese imperial history. The sheer scale of the complex is breathtaking, and every corner reveals stunning details, from the golden roofs to the delicate carvings and vibrant colors.
It’s not just a tourist attraction but a cultural experience that allows you to better understand China’s traditions, art, and architecture. Even if you’re not a history enthusiast, the atmosphere alone is unforgettable. I recommend setting aside at least half a day to explore properly and, if possible, going early in the morning to avoid the biggest crowds.
The Forbidden City truly lives up to its reputation as one of the must-see landmarks in the world.
