Visiting the Potala Palace is a spiritual and emotional journey. Towering over Lhasa, this former winter residence of the Dalai Lama is both a sacred site and an architectural wonder. The climb up the palace is challenging due to altitude, but the view from the top is heavenly—quite literally. Inside, the golden chapels, intricate thangkas, and the tombs of past Dalai Lamas left a deep impression on me. You can feel the devotion in the air. Make sure to acclimatize before visiting and book tickets in advance. It’s one of the most powerful cultural experiences I've had in China.
