Lhasa One-Day Walking Tour Guide!! Totally Worth It!!

The peak tourist season in Lhasa has finally come to an end, and the crowds at the attractions have significantly decreased. For those planning to visit Lhasa, now is the perfect time—just go for it without hesitation!

My days in Lhasa were unforgettable, but the most memorable experience was the day I spent walking around!

On the last day of my trip, I had breakfast at the Lagari Snow Dragon Manor Resort Hotel. Initially, I was just sitting in the courtyard of the manor, planning to bask in the sun. During a conversation with the staff, I learned about the nearby Thousand Buddha Cliff. Since it was Wednesday, there were especially many worshippers in the morning. Encouraged by their recommendation, we decided to set off!

We followed the crowd into the circumambulation path. At the entrance, the incense burner was continuously emitting smoke. Most of the people here were local Tibetans, dressed in traditional Tibetan attire, holding prayer beads, spinning prayer wheels, and chanting prayers.

It’s hard to describe the awe I felt standing at the Thousand Buddha Cliff. People were coming and going around me, yet they were deeply immersed in their own worlds, praying with utmost devotion.

Following in their footsteps, every step felt like a mark left by time. Here, I truly experienced the essence of Tibetan faith!

Afterward, we continued circumambulating along the Thousand Buddha Cliff, capturing many new photo spots of the Potala Palace along the way. If you’re interested in a similar travel guide, feel free to follow and leave a comment—I’ll update it in the next post!
