Sichuan welcomes the first snow of this autumn

Recently, many areas in Sichuan have experienced the first wave of autumn "quick freeze," with some parts of western Sichuan even seeing the first snowfall, and temperatures remaining low. Over the next three days, the Sichuan Basin will continue to have mostly cloudy and rainy weather, accompanied by north winds of 3 to 5 on the Beaufort scale, with some areas in the north reaching level 6 or above. Among them, parts of seven cities including Nanchong and Guang'an will experience moderate rain; the northern and eastern parts of Ganzi Prefecture and Aba Prefecture will have cloudy to overcast skies with showers (snow) or thunderstorms, with some areas seeing moderate rain; the Panzhihua-Xichang area will have cloudy to overcast skies with showers or thunderstorms, moderate rain in the south, and localized heavy rain. According to forecasts, the daily maximum temperature in Chengdu will drop another 5°C this week, reaching 11°C by the 24th, marking the lowest in half a year. During this period, tourists can experience Sichuan's unique autumn-to-winter transition scenery and enjoy the special charm of the quick-freeze mode.
