Here are the best spots for tide chasing in Lianyungang↓
1⃣️ Yangshan Island
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
✨ Beginners should opt for rocky areas rather than flat, fine sandy beaches. Yangshan Island has a vast rocky zone where you can find mini crabs under almost every small stone.
✨ The scenery is stunning, making it a perfect spot for sunrise viewing!
✨ The island has a seafood market where fishermen deliver fresh catches directly, offering fair prices for all.
2⃣️ Zai Hai Yi Fang Park
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
✨ Features a muddy area where you can find shells, hermit crabs, small crabs, and shrimp.
✨ A free park with nearby vendors selling buckets and shovels for tide chasing, very convenient.
✨ The scenery is average, with murky water and limited views, not ideal for sightseeing.
✨ The muddy area can be dangerous and prone to sinking—avoid going at night❗❗❗
3⃣️ Liandao Island
Rating: ⭐⭐⭐⭐
✨ A paid attraction with breathtaking scenery, one of Lianyungang's must-visit spots.
✨ Mostly flat sandy beaches, making it challenging to dig for small creatures.
✨ Perfect for shell collecting! Along the coastal boardwalk, there's a shell hotspot with layers of shells up to 5cm deep—sort through them for surefire finds 😎
Lastly, a handy mini-app recommendation: Tide Table Spirit.
It provides real-time tide updates. The best time for tide chasing is during low tide, but be sure to leave rocky areas quickly as the tide rises to avoid getting stranded❗❗❗
