Liaoning's Altay - Laopingtuo, Benxi: An Adventurer's Guide

With the arrival of spring, I can't wait to return to Laopingtuo!

**📍Location**: Laopingtuo, known as "Liaoning's Altay," is hidden near Benxi Dabinggou Forest Park. It's only a 2-hour drive from Shenyang.

**🚗Getting There**: Download the "Liangbulu" app in advance, search for "Laopingtuo," download the route, and start navigation. Although the signal is weak in most areas, GPS positioning is stable. Refer to the starting point suggested in the app. Driving up the mountain is not recommended due to complex road conditions. Local villagers offer jeep services. Those without hiking experience can choose this option to shorten the walking distance.

**🎒What to Pack**:
* **Essential**: Hiking boots, trekking poles, long pants (the descent involves steep forest trails, so caution is advised).

* **Recommended**: Insect repellent, snacks, plenty of water (summers are hot, and there are no supply points, so bring at least 1.5L per person), trash bags (protect the environment, it's everyone's responsibility).

**🌟Experience**: The 13 km hike, with a total ascent of over 600m, took me, a hiking newbie, 6 hours to complete. Along the way, I climbed wild mountains, drank from streams, tasted wild fruits, and cracked wild walnuts. It was an amazing experience! As for the scenery, the pictures only show a glimpse; the real thing is even more breathtaking!
