Huangyaguan Holiday Guide – Changzhi, Shanxi

Huangyaguan during the Labor Day holiday: The scenic area is very large, and it's crowded but not congested.
🇨🇳Route
Route A – Shantu direction: Sightseeing bus ➡️ Cliff elevator ➡️ Mountain-crossing cable car ➡️ Sightseeing bus ➡️ Cliffside path ➡️ Arsenal and Huangyaguan small loop line (this is a loop line, go around and come back) ➡️ Downhill canyon path (the most beautiful scenery is here; if you take Route B, you will pass here first, but you need to climb the mountain) ➡️ Sightseeing bus or mini train
Route B – Huangyaguan direction: The opposite of Route A
PS: Shantu and Huangyaguan are two loop lines that fork in the canyon. Route A requires less mountain climbing and saves energy.

🇨🇳About Huangyaguan: It is recommended to take an armored vehicle on the Huangyaguan loop line, first to experience it, and second to save energy. It costs 25 RMB for a one-way trip.
PS: I didn't take the armored vehicle at first. I climbed the mountain to the site of the old arsenal (it was boring and tiring), and then walked 1.5 km to Huangyaguan (mostly flat road). After seeing it, I didn't have the energy to go down the mountain, so I took an armored vehicle. The armored vehicle only goes to Huangyaguan. You have to walk to the arsenal, so it is not recommended to go.

Enjoy the scenery of the Taihang Mountains along the way. It's worth the trip!
