Amazing Lijiang - Wenhai Lake

Wenhai is a gorgeous and tranquil lake sitting silently in the north of Lijiang. I fell in love with this place a year ago and finally this time I am back with @VickWalks with all of our camping gears and a passion to fully discover its beauty. We were lucky to experience a heavy snow on our visit and it turned the area into a snow white winter wonderland. Despite the freezing temperature and high winds at night, we absolutely enjoyed camping out in the snow by the lake. The next day after packing up we took the time to explore the Naxi minority villages nearby and we were welcomed by a herd of cows and smiling local villagers. Afterwards we hitchhiked out of Wenhai back to Lijiang city - as always I was not surprised to find how easy it is to hitch a ride in Yunnan as people here are too kind to ignore the signs of help.
