While sightseeing in Fukuoka, I visited the tourist spot "Wakahachimangu Shrine".
"Wakahachimangu Shrine" is a Hachiman shrine located about a 10-minute walk from JR Hakata Station. According to the explanation on the shrine grounds, the deities enshrined are Emperor Nintoku, Okuninushi-no-Mikoto, and Sukunahikona-no-Mikoto, and it is known as "Yakuhachiman" and "Yakuwae Hachiman" and is worshiped by many people. There was a distinctive lion-dog statue in front of the main shrine. There was also a sacred horse and a strong stone on the grounds. The old tree on the grounds also had a dignified appearance befitting the guardian deity of Hachimangu Shrine.

This is a famous shrine in Fukuoka that has the power to ward off evil.

It's worth a visit!
