Black Dragon Pool, a reflection of Lijiang's prosperity

🐉 Black Dragon Pool or Black Dragon Pool 🐲
Located in a large park near the ancient city of Lijiang, it was built in 1737 during the Qing Dynasty. This place was originally a shrine that people worshiped and has been recognized as a world heritage site by UNESCO.

In the past, there was a legend that a black dragon lived there. Local people believed that the black dragon was the god of water and protected Lijiang from natural disasters. Today, the Black Dragon Pool is still a sacred place for locals. People often come to worship the black dragon to pray for a peaceful life.

The current area is a large park with a large, clear pond like a mirror. Behind it, there is also a mountain view. If it is a clear day, you will be able to see the beautiful view of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain as a background. It is a beautiful sight to behold. But unfortunately, on the day we visited, the sky was cloudy, making the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain shy and not visible. But there was still enough light for the beautifully shaped buildings to reflect the clear water, making it beautiful to see.
