A one-day tour guide to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain without taking a detour!

I got up at 5:10 in the morning, put on makeup and washed up, went out at 6:00, and arrived at the intersection near the homestay at 6:10 (because I lived in Lijiang Ancient Town, I needed to walk out to the intersection to take the bus). I took the bus and when I arrived at the door, I was charged a 100 yuan mountain entrance fee per person. - Arrived at Ganhaizi at 7:00 (taxi address: Swiss Style Garden) and prepared to see the golden mountain in the sun. We went there relatively early! The driver took us to a good shooting position! It was a pity that there were a lot of clouds that day, so I didn’t get to see the golden mountain in the sun 😭😭 But it was still beautiful after the sky was fully bright!

At 8:30, go to the tourist center and take the cable car to Yunshanping. I bought the cable car ticket from 8:30 to 9:00 the night before. There are still plenty of tickets for Yunshanping, so there is no need to rush. After taking some beautiful photos, we took the cable car down and took a bus to Blue Moon Valley. It was almost 12:30 at this time, so we could eat something and prepare to go up Jade Dragon Snow Mountain.

We bought the 2:00-2:30 cable car tickets (Jade Dragon Snow Mountain) a week in advance, but at 9:30 in the morning we received the news that the cable car would stop operating after 10:59 due to strong winds. If you really want to go to Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, it is recommended to buy tickets before 11 am (for example: the time period is 8:00-8:29, the earliest you can go through the gate is 8:00 and the latest is 8:59, you cannot go through the gate at other times)! Then we will visit Yunshanping and Blue Moon Valley.

Avoid the pitfall: You don’t have to take the electric car in the scenic area! You can feel the beauty of the scenic spots better by walking!

💡 Practical tips
Ticket saving tips: 100 yuan for mountain entrance fee + 60 yuan for Yunshanping cableway (including bus), half price with student ID! The cable car ticket costs 120 yuan separately. It is recommended to buy tickets on the "Lijiang Tourism Group" mini program 7 days in advance (beware of scalpers and fake tickets).

Transportation: I contacted Lijiang Ancient Town the day before departure and booked a carpool for 30 yuan per person. The driver will pick you up at the intersection near the homestay, which is quite convenient.

Outfit: The temperature difference in the snow mountains is huge! Inner wear for photo taking + thick down jacket, windproof hat + sunglasses are must-haves! !
