Visiting Mont Choisy Beach: A Gem in Mauritius

Given its closeness to our resort, we chose to visit Mont Choisy Beach, reportedly the finest in Mauritius. Nestled in the northern part of Mauritius, between Pointe aux Canonniers and Mon Choisy, this public beach is notably long and narrow, with a lush pine forest behind it where many locals were enjoying games of French bowls or relaxing. The beach boasts white sand and an exceptionally clean, crystal-clear sea, with deep waters immediately off shore. Accessible by foot or car, it offers roadside parking, public toilets, and picnic tables with benches. Plenty of food trucks and kiosks provide options to grab a bite, drinks, ice cream, or fresh fruit.
