The afternoon sun in Lijiang "washes" the courtyard of Boxin Yun She, making it vibrant and dazzling! ☀️ The wooden eaves have sharp outlines, the green leaves shine with gloss, the stone path is bathed in warm golden light, and the entire courtyard is full of dazzling vitality~ The most amazing is the small pool of water, where sunlight breaks into shimmering spots, yet the reflection beneath is as clear as a mirror: the blue sky is perfectly "captured" in the water, clouds float by, green branches sway, and when the breeze passes, it looks like a moving, translucent painting~
Nestled in the corner of the courtyard, brew a pot of Pu'er tea at the tea table, watching the water lilies half-open and half-closed under the light, their round leaves carrying water droplets that roll off, creating ripples~ A small stone Buddha stands quietly among the moss by the pool, full of Zen spirit; turning around, you encounter a wall-climbing hydrangea cluster, with blue-purple gradients like a painter’s palette 🎨 The plant arrangement here is super thoughtful! Bamboo, pine, and banana plants are layered and staggered, fitting Naxi aesthetics while also being practical—the tall trees on the west side provide shade, the forest on the north side blocks the wind, and the south side is left open to let in light, full marks for details!
At sunset, red lanterns gradually light up, warm light spreads over the wooden building and flowers, tinting everything like an old painting~ 🌄 The housekeeper brings hot milk and fresh flower cakes; sitting in the corridor listening to the wind and watching the clouds, all the stress and anxiety are completely filtered out~ The courtyard of Boxin Yun She is truly a book you never tire of reading, self-consistent yet vast, making every passerby a part of the painting 💖
Tips: The backlit pool in the afternoon is super dreamy for photographing cloud reflections! Bring a light jacket, it’s a bit cool under the shade~ 🍃
