A moment of solitude in Lijiang 🌲

When visiting Lijiang I didn't have any particular interest in going to the top of the Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, especially since it sells out at 8am each morning. Instead I wanted to go up into the mountains amongst the forests.

I found Spruce Meadow! The woman at the ticket office was very helpful and explained that Spruce Meadow and Yak Meadows were very similar but Spruce Meadows are a lot closer. So I bought a ticket and hopped on a shuttle bus.

The views at the top didn't disappoint, tall snowy mountains and dark forests. To avoid all the tourists follow the walkway round into the forest, it's very quiet and deserted and you can spend a few moments alone appreciating the nature all around.
