Hunan Liling | Zhuangyuanzhou, a less-known self-driving tourist destination around Changsha

The name of Zhuangyuanzhou comes from the Jiaqing 'Unified Records', which says: 'The island is in front of the county gate, Liling produces the top scholar', hence the name 'Zhuangyuan Fangzhou'. Zhuangyuan Fangzhou is located in the middle of the Lujiang River, the island is spindle-shaped, about 500 meters long and about 100 meters wide. It was a vegetable garden in the Ming Dynasty and was turned into a mulberry garden in the Qing Dynasty. In 1925, the Lujiang Bridge was built, and there is a bridge on the side of the bridge connected to Zhuangyuanzhou. The island is surrounded by stone railings, shaded by green trees, birds singing, flowers blooming all year round, and fragrant all over.
