Walking into Kongshan Baiyun Cave feels like stepping into a subterranean palace of stars. Illuminated by the cave's light, stalactites cascade like jade pillars, each in a unique shape, resembling a dragon, a phoenix, or even a palace. The traces of time are visible with every step, and the sound of dripping water echoes through the deep corridors like an ancient heartbeat. When the light hits the milky white stone walls, the shimmering light resembles clouds, blurring the lines between dream and reality.
Pausing at the deepest point, I closed my eyes and listened to the sound of water seeping from the rock face—nature's most distant whisper. Kongshan Baiyun Cave is not noisy; its silence, spanning eons, tells the story of Earth's transformation. Leaving the cave entrance, sunlight streams down, but my heart remains in that subterranean sea of clouds, filled with endless wonder.
