Introducing Luxun's Former Residence in Guangzhou

Located at 215 Wenming Road, Yuexiu District, Guangzhou Luxun Memorial Park commemorates Lu Xun's life, tracing his work and life in Guangzhou from January to September 1927. It is the first memorial park in Guangzhou named after a prominent figure. The memorial, housed in the bell tower of the 1906 Guangdong-Guangxi Superior Normal School, features four main exhibits and reconstructed displays of the auditorium of the First National Congress of the Kuomintang, Lu Xun's former residence, and a Sun Yat-sen University conference room.

A statue of Lu Xun stands in the center of the park, gazing calmly and smilingly ahead. A particularly eye-catching tree, the century-old "Flying Banyan," with its lush branches and gnarled roots, stands in front of the relief wall to the south of Lu Xun's portrait. Like Lu Xun, it bears witness to social change and the passage of time.
