It's not that Xinjiang isn't worth visiting, but the Qinling Mountains offer better value for money

Among the off-the-beaten-path travel destinations I've visited this year,
Liuba in Hanzhong was truly full of surprises‼️
Not only is it perfect for summer escapes🌳,
but it also boasts natural pastures, alpine meadows, historical and cultural sites,
and hidden gems like the ancient ginkgo tree that has stood for millennia.
The accommodation we chose here, Wufang Lanshan,
is right next to a country road with parking spaces.
Step outside, and you're right by the road,
surrounded by the scenic views of the Qinling Mountains and pastoral landscapes.
Breakfast is served in the courtyard,
featuring a nice mix of side dishes, porridge, eggs, and steamed buns!
The rooms are clean and comfortable.

Here’s a three-day, two-night itinerary for a summer getaway to Liuba‼️
🚗 Transportation Guide:
Take the high-speed rail🚄 to Hanzhong, then a bus to Liuba, or rent a car directly like we did.
Driving from Xi'an via the highway takes just 3.5 hours to reach Liuba👍

Day 1: Liuba Old Street → Shizigou
Day 2: Zibai Mountain → Lover’s Valley → Zhangliang Temple
Day 3: The Most Beautiful Country Road → 4000-Year-Old Ginkgo Tree

🔺 Old Street: A long cobblestone path lined with flowers and plants at every doorstep, offering many snacks and Shaanxi-style wooden barrel fish.

🔺 Shizigou: A free natural pasture with a stunning "milk lake," where you can horseback ride and camp! Super photogenic.

🔺 Zibai Mountain National Forest Park
Ticket + cable car: 110💰. From the summit, you can see the surrounding mountains—perfect for light hiking! Enjoy the alpine meadows, wooden boardwalks, and viewing platforms.

🔺 Lover’s Valley
A small forest hideaway with suspension bridges and fir trees. A great alternative if you don’t want to hike, and it’s free🆓!

🔺 Zhangliang Temple is worth a visit if you're interested.

🔺 The country road and ancient ginkgo tree are most beautiful in autumn,
but even now, the lush greenery is stunning. The 4000-year-old ginkgo tree is particularly breathtaking—we made sure to take a photo with it!

🌳 Tips
· Attractions are quite spread out, so driving🚗 is recommended.
· Summer brings lots of bugs, so pack insect repellent.
