Chenzhuang Longxing Temple is located at the southern end of Chenzhuang in Chengguan Town, facing south. Only the Buddhist hall housing the Zhangjiu Buddha remains. This hall is square in plan, with a gray roof built entirely of stone. The base is approximately one meter deep, creating a semi-cave-style structure. The hall's body is stacked and cantilevered two stories above and below. The top has a parabolic outline, topped by a stone stupa. The vertical height of the roof is greater than the Buddha's length, giving the entire structure a simple and quaint form. The Zhangjiu Buddha stands atop a massive lotus. Its body is carved from a single, massive stone, while the lotus pedestal is carved from another. From top to bottom, the statue is carved from two massive blocks of stone.
The hall is a semi-underground structure constructed entirely of stone, with a depth of 0.76 meters and a total height of 8.2 meters. It is square in plan, with sides measuring 7.5 meters. The corners of the upper walls are rounded off to form an octagonal shape, with the edges tapering inward to form a dome-shaped roof. The roof is covered with sand and plaster, decorated in the shape of a helmet, and topped with a stone pagoda. The structure is simple, quaint, and elegant, a rare architectural style in the province.
The hall houses the Buddha Shakyamuni, commonly known as the "Zhangjiu Buddha." He stands 5.87 meters tall on a jeweled lotus pedestal. Surrounding him are five smaller Buddha statues, each about the same height as a human, their heads damaged. Two of these are from the Tang Dynasty, while the others are from the Ming Dynasty.
