The moment I stepped out of Liverpool’s Lime Street Railway Station, I was greeted by a sight that stopped me in my tracks—St George’s Hall rising in majestic symmetry, its neoclassical façade commanding attention with quiet authority. Towering pillars, intricate carvings, and a sweep of statues give the building a sense of timeless grandeur. It’s not just architecture—it’s a statement.
The hall is enormous, stretching across the square like a temple of civic pride. As I walked closer, the details revealed themselves: Corinthian columns reaching skyward, sculpted figures standing in silent tribute, and stone steps worn smooth by generations of footsteps. The entire space feels ceremonial, as if history itself is staged here.
