Photo Spots Near Yilan Train Station

After spending a relaxing night at a hot spring hotel in Jiaoxi, it was time to leave Yilan. Before leaving, I took a walk around Yilan Train Station🚉. There are several photo-worthy spots near Yilan Train Station:

1️⃣ Yilan Train Station
Originally a retro red brick building, it has been redesigned to match the nearby Diudiudang Forest and Jimmy Park, transforming it into the Jimmy Train Station.

2️⃣ Diudiudang Forest
Designed by architect Huang Shengyuan, it features nine steel giant trees, each 14 meters tall, symbolizing the Cinnamomum camphora trees and highlighting Yilan's old name - Jiuxiong City. The park also includes the Jimmy Starry Sky Train and the Smiling Fish.

3️⃣ Jimmy Park
Once an abandoned railway bureau dormitory area, it has been redeveloped with colorful sculptures, recreating famous scenes from Jimmy's picture books such as 'Turn Left, Turn Right' and 'Starry Night.'
