The island vibes

The largest of the three islands, Gili Trawangan, is where you'll find the most of the backpackers you meet on the ferry. It's known for parties and, more often than not, narcotics. However, those can be found on other islands as well. There are calm bungalow regions in the north of Trawangan where you may escape and unwind. Then, when you're in the mood for some action and dancing, you won't have to travel far. Cycling around the entire island takes about 12 hours, with a few episodes of pushing through deeper sand.
