So we did a lot of exploring in Bali. Over the years several trips. I wanted to head somewhere not too far just at the same time quiet and peaceful with less people around. Also, do some hiking. Lombok perfectly fits the bill. First off, it can also be clubbed with Bali because only an hour’s flight away from Bali. I visited amazing waterfalls, trekked Mount Rinjani, and explored the south coast near Kuta Lombok.

According to me the best way is to rent a car or hire a taxi at the port or airport. If you make it up there just after lunch that is perfect timing, you will have time to go explore Sendang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfall. These two waterfalls are just a short walk from most of the accommodations in Senaru and are both beautiful spots in the Lombok Jungle. It’s a great way to kick off your Lombok

Mount Rinjani was always an exciting prospect for me so the next day we had an early start with our hiking boots. At 3,726m the summit is an incredible and difficult journey but so rewarding. There are several ways to hike Mount Rinjani and depending on which route is open and which you decide to hike it can take anyway from 2 to 4 days. We spent a day lazing around at the resort and recovering from sore calves and thighs. But it was all worth it. #islandtrip #100waysoftravel #lombok #indoensia
