🚶‍♀️🌇 My Favourite Commute: From Waterloo to Westminster 🏛️✨

#mydailycommute

There’s something magical about starting the day with a walk across Westminster Bridge—one of London’s most iconic routes. My daily commute from Waterloo Station to Westminster isn’t just about getting to work—it’s a postcard-worthy stroll that feels like a mini city tour every morning. 🗺️

🚉 Start: Waterloo Station

Step out of the bustling station and you’re just a few minutes away from the Thames. As soon as you reach the South Bank, the air shifts—there’s a calmness here, even during rush hour.

🌉 Crossing Westminster Bridge

As I cross Westminster Bridge, the views are unbeatable:
🏰 Big Ben & The Houses of Parliament rise in front of me, catching the early morning light.
🎡 The London Eye looms gracefully behind me—sometimes shrouded in mist, sometimes glowing in sunshine.
🚤 Watch boats gliding on the Thames, from morning commuters on river buses to early tour cruises.
🕊️ Street performers, buskers, and flocks of pigeons add that classic London charm.

🏛️ End: Westminster

On the other side, the Gothic grandeur of Westminster Abbey and Parliament Square greet me. It’s a powerful and inspiring reminder of London’s long-standing history—what a place to start the workday!

💡 Commuter Tips:
🌅 Try to walk just after sunrise for golden-hour views—especially beautiful in autumn and spring.
☕ Grab a coffee from one of the South Bank cafés before crossing the bridge.
📸 Don’t rush—take in the view. It’s worth every second.
