London | The tasty Malatang in Chinatown

Not only is the spicy soup flavorful, but for someone like me who loves soup but can’t handle too much spice, they thoughtfully offer a tomato broth. Every visit, I can enjoy a happy meal with friends.

Fried Dough SticksThe fried dough sticks aren’t tough at all. Served in a wooden dish, they’re crispy and have that authentic texture.

My friends and I ordered the tomato hot pot. The broth is rich and flavorful. We added duck blood, tofu skin rolls, enoki mushrooms, fish balls, and more. Each bite of the ingredients paired with a sip of the hot broth is absolutely satisfying.

SkewersWe chose beef tongue and chicken gizzards. The beef tongue is thick-cut and delicious, while the chicken gizzards are bouncy with a solid texture — perfect as a starter.

Finally, for dessert, we had a bowl of iced jelly. Sweet and fragrant, it’s a perfect finish to the meal.
