It turns out Zhejiang still hides such a secluded ancient village❗️Passing by Xiazhang, I was deeply attracted; it felt like traveling back to the Ming and Qing dynasties~
📍Xiazhang Ancient Village
Address: No. 3, Xiazhang Village, Longquan City, Lishui City, Zhejiang Province, 120 meters due east
This ancient village with over 800 years of history is just perfect! The Chinese-style buildings with blue bricks and black tiles are surrounded by green mountains, and every snapshot looks like a traditional Chinese painting. My favorite are the few ancient trees at the village entrance, harmonizing with the old houses nearby, especially beautiful when sunlight shines through.
The small village preserves more than 20 Ming and Qing dynasty old residences. Strolling slowly along the stone paths, you will encounter many delightful corners. Some people draw water and wash clothes by the ancient well, and an elderly lady sits at the door picking vegetables—full of life yet exceptionally peaceful. I also found a wooden corridor bridge perfect for photos; standing on it, you can overlook the rooftops of the entire village.
Although it was a last-minute decision to visit, this stop became the most unforgettable memory of the trip. It is recommended to wear plain or Chinese-style clothing for photos; the light and shadows after 3 PM are best for shooting.
Tips:
⚠️The ancient village has no entrance fee; recommended visit time is 2 hours
⚠️There is a small parking lot at the village entrance; self-driving is recommended
⚠️The best time to visit is spring and autumn; remember to bring mosquito repellent in summer
⚠️No commercial facilities nearby; bring some snacks and water yourself
