During my family's trip to Fujian, I specially planned a day to visit Chengqi Tower in Yongding District, Longyan City. This was my most anticipated attraction of the trip. Upon entering this building, known as the "King of Tulou," I was struck by its magnificent circular structure; it was even more spectacular than I had imagined.

Chengqi Tower is one of the Gaobei Tulou clusters. Due to its grand scale, it earns the title of "King of Tulou." What surprised me most was how this ancient building still brims with life, with local residents living their daily lives inside. Laundry hung out to dry fluttered in the breeze, and the aroma of cooking wafted from the kitchen, making the entire Tulou feel vivid and authentic.

Walking along the circular corridors with my family, we gazed up at the beautiful blue sky framed by the round eaves. We were all amazed by its unique architectural beauty. We rested for a moment in the central courtyard, watching the harmonious coexistence of tourists and locals, and felt the unique blend of ancient and modern.

💞 Reasons for my personal recommendation:
Chengqi Tower is not only a must-see for architecture enthusiasts, but also a unique place where you can experience the fusion of history and daily life. I particularly enjoyed the lively atmosphere here, which allows me to truly glimpse the local lifestyle. I recommend visiting in the afternoon, when the slanting sunlight makes the tulou even more beautiful and creates even better photo opportunities. Bringing your family to stroll through this place allows you to appreciate the unique architectural beauty while enjoying some warm family time.

Also worth noting is the square-shaped Shize Tower next to Chengqi Tower. The contrast between the round and square buildings is quite interesting, creating a unique "one-line skylight" landscape that's worth a visit.
