In the waning days of 2023, I embarked on an unforgettable journey to Wat Choum Khong Sourin Tharame in Luang Prabang, a hidden gem adorned with Chinese Guardian Gods. As I wandered through the temple's serene courtyard, the intricate carvings and vibrant colors left an indelible impression. The fusion of Lao and Chinese cultures was evident in every corner, creating a unique spiritual ambiance. Monks gracefully moved about, offering glimpses into the temple's sacred rituals. The tranquility of the surroundings and the reverence of the devotees made the experience truly enchanting. As the sun dipped below the horizon, casting a warm glow over the temple, I whispered a promise to return. In 2024, I wish to go there again.
