New Suwannaphumaram Temple

🌿🌱 is an important temple in Luang Prabang because this temple used to be the residence of Somdet Phra Sangkharat Bunthan, the last Somdet Phra Sangkharat of Laos, and also used to have Phra Bang, the Buddha image of Luang Prabang, enshrined there.

🙏🌷 The Ubosot or what Laos call Sim, with the black pillars in front of the gallery covered with gold and decorated with patterns that combine many styles of craftsmanship. The roof has layers in the Chiang Kwang style and has two necks in the Tai Lue style. The roof is curved, with hoops and gables, decorated with gold-washed patterns like the Sim in Luang Prabang style.

🦚🌳 Inside the Sim, there is a Buddha image in royal attire, which Lao people call Phra Eh, which is the principal Buddha image, which is in the style of the Maha Chakraphat Buddha. The inner walls are decorated with small gold-covered Buddha images. Ten thousand of them
