Tourist attraction: Wat Xieng Thong in Luang Prabang

Wat Xieng Thong (Wat Xieng Thong) is one of the most important and beautiful temples in Luang Prabang, Laos. It is considered the "Jewel of Lao Architecture." Ho Phra Man (Ho Phra Man): This enshrines the "Phra Man," a wooden Buddha image in the Subduing the Ocean posture. It is only brought out for public worship once a year during the Lao New Year festival.
Royal Chariot Hall: This house houses the royal chariot used in the funeral ceremony of King Si Savang Vadhana. This chariot features a delicate, golden Naga sculpture.
Ancient Reclining Buddha: Inside the Ho Phra Man is a reclining Buddha image, over 400 years old, one of the oldest Buddha images in Laos.

Admission fee: For foreigners, the fee is approximately 20,000-30,000 kip (as of 2024, subject to change).
Opening Hours: Normally open daily from approximately 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM.
Getting there: Wat Xieng Thong is located near the center of Luang Prabang. It can be reached on foot from the morning and night markets, or by tuk tuk.
Tips: Dress modestly when visiting the temple. Men and women should wear clothing that covers the shoulders and knees.
