Wat Pa Hok, a temple that many people overlook

🌸Who would have thought that there was a forest temple hidden in the moat of Luang Prabang, Laos? Wat Pa Ruak or Pa Hok is located at the foot of Mount Phousi, opposite the Royal Palace of Luang Prabang.
If you go up the moat, it will be on the right side of the moat on the way up to Phra That Phousi on the night market side. If you don't invite each other to see the view, you probably won't know.

🌟Atmosphere: The temple is very old and looks very magical. I went in the evening and was a bit scared, but luckily there were a lot of people. The church has an art style similar to a Thai temple, unlike other temples in Luang Prabang. The pillars in front are made of very large, tall wood. There are no monks in this temple and it has been abandoned and not renovated for a long time, but there are still people coming to pay homage.

🌞I secretly investigated the history. Lao people say that there is an abandoned Thai temple in the bamboo forest on the way up to Mount Phousi, opposite the Royal Palace. There is only a piece of paper written in English that says Wat Pa Hok. This temple has beautiful murals, the only ones in Luang Prabang. They look like murals of Thai temples. They say that this temple was built by King Rama IV and has a sacred Buddha image inside. Thieves who try to steal property from the temple have never succeeded and must return it.
P.S. We didn't go into the church because it was already dark.
