A Secluded Village Near Chengdu Where You Can Admire Snow-Capped Mountains: I Don't Want to Leave!

Only 3.5 hours from Chengdu, this hidden gem of a village nestled in the clouds is truly captivating.
Wake up to golden sunlight illuminating the mountain peaks and step outside to be greeted by breathtaking snow-capped views.
Every moment feels like a scene from a painting… it's breathtakingly beautiful.

📍 Lan'an Township, Luding County
Perfect for a weekend getaway! Uncrowded, scenic, and at a lower altitude!

✔️ Things to do:
👉🏻 Apple picking! The apples here are incredibly delicious. With the recent cold weather, the kids called them "ice cream apples" and devoured them.
👉🏻 Stroll through the village! Free from commercialization, it offers healing little shops, charming grocery stores, cafes, tea houses, bookstores…
👉🏻 Explore the red historical sites! Lan'an was a vital point on the ancient Tea Horse Road and a place where the Red Army marched during the Long March. Many red historical sites and stories are preserved here.
👉🏻 Hike to Muyun Terrace (I had to give up because I brought my child, but I heard the scenery is amazing).
👉🏻 Watch the sunrise paint the mountains gold and admire the starry night sky, all from the comfort of your guesthouse.

✔️ Accommodation:
We stayed at Guanshan Yunlan Tingxue, where you can enjoy the sunrise over the mountains right from your room. With underfloor heating and floor-to-ceiling windows, you could happily spend your entire stay indoors. When the weather is nice, you can relax in the courtyard, sip coffee, and gaze at the snow-capped mountains. It's truly hard to leave.

✔️ Food:
The local chicken hot pot is incredibly delicious. You must try the special dipping sauce; just thinking about it makes my mouth water. The complimentary roasted sweet potatoes are also fantastic.

I absolutely love this place. It's already on my list for a second visit!
